The day started off with celebrations outside the Temple. They know how to celebrate!

After a few photos outside the Chateau Laurier, we went inside to continue the celebration.

As soon as I drove around the corner to Doris’ house, I knew right away which house it was by the decorations placed out front.

The living room was all set up ready for the tea ceremony that was going to take place.

Let the games begin!  The tradition holds that the boys have to negotiate their way in. They waited on the porch and negotiated with the bridesmaids and family through the window. The girls had a price in mind…and made them do all kinds of, ummm, tasks.  The first offering of coffee wasn’t exactly what they had in mind.

A little bit of money, but not the amount the ladies had in mind.

Here is one of those, umm, tasks. Yes, thats right. They were required to do this pose!

They were such a good sport! Poor Jason almost get a foot in the face here. If you look closely, you can see someone inside laughing.

The final task? They had to sing loud enough for Doris to hear. They did a pretty good job too!

Her look is priceless.  She is stunning, don’t you agree?

Ok, so the final task wasn’t really the final task. After making his way in, they made him go up the stairs, every single one, on his knees calling out “Doris, where are  you?”

You can tell everyone was enjoying this.

After the ceremony, we headed to the restaurant 18 for some drinks.  Thanks to the staff there for being so nice and warm toward all of us.

I am not even sure if the girls knew that Andre was there or not…made me laugh!

One of my absolute favourite of them. They look so relaxed and happy!

I remember after I got married, one of the my most cherished moments was the alone time we had in the limo (not that kind of alone time  ) on the way to the reception. It was just me and him and we actually had a chance to chat and  relax after the big rush of the morning. I always encourage my couples to have those few minutes for themselves. While Jennifer and Andre rode off in the limo, we headed out to Sala San Marco.

When we got to the reception, the party was in full swing. People everywhere laughing, eating yummy snacks, and enjoying each others company. Soooo many beautiful children running around, too…and a few of them were mine.

Can this little guy get any cuter!!?? He simply looked up at me and gave me that beautiful smile.

The grand entrance was a PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the moments that literally stole the evening, was when Andre sang to his new bride. I can’t remember which songs (yes, it was a medley) but it started here…

…and ended up on the dance floor…she was completely surprised…can’t you tell!!

Thank you for allowing me to capture the first day of this amazing adventure you are on. May your all your dreams come true. Lots of love forever.

A few days before the wedding we were all checking the weather forecasts – a major snowstorm was coming – ugh!! But as always, I never worry to much about the weather because it isn’t something we can control too much. But as luck would have it, the expected snowfall didn’t happen – it bypassed us and stayed to the south – LUCKY!!  That morning the sun was shinning brightly for all of us!

When I got there they were in full swing already. Jennifer was already sitting having her hair done and full of smiles. Thank you to Christine Smith for such a beautiful look.

I just loved the flowers…and the colours!

Jennifer’s friend Alexandra Cameron did an amazing job on her make up and helped make her feel like a true princess.

A very touching moment when Jennifer’s friend called to wish her the best on her wedding day…I have to admit I started to cry too…

I just loved her dress…full of graceful elegance.

I love this moment. I love the look on her face.  She would look over at me and take deep breaths in and deep breaths out…I knew exactly how she was feeling…

It was very important to Jennifer to get a photograph of her and her grandma who was, unfortunately, unable to attend the wedding.
